Our dental clinic in Milan uses a diode laser that employs a 10 W power laser technology and a 980 nm wavelength, with continuous or pulsed emission. This tool is effective in endodontics, periodontics, teeth whitening, surgery, and therapy.

DIODE LASER, THE ADVANTAGES FOR THE PATIENT
From the patient’s perspective, the advantages of using this type of technology include:
- a significant reduction in pain and bleeding. This is made possible by the thermal concentration limited to the targeted area alone;
- compared to a cold scalpel, the laser has a bactericidal capacity that avoids the need for antibiotics after surgery. This results in a halving of healing times. The results of the procedure are quickly visible;
- compared to an electrosurgical unit, the laser does not cause contraction of the adjacent muscles and makes the treated surface virtually invisible just a few weeks after.
